This is a core unit for first year students in Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT). The BIT is intended to provide a common first year where enrolled student can articulate into various degrees offered by the faculty. Because of this, the core unit will have significant overlap with combination of other units that are core units for these target degrees.This unit is designed to introduce students to a broad overview of basic computer concepts and terminology. It equips students with a broad understanding of the process of information system cycle; and to discover and explore the many components that formed the elements of information system reflecting the latest trends in Information Technology at an introductory level.
