This is a core unit within the Electronic Recordkeeping and Archiving specialisation in the Master of Information Management and Systems, the Graduate Diploma in Information Management and Systems, and the Graduate Certificate of Information Management and Systems for those seeking accreditations, recognition from Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) and Records Management Association of Australia (RMAA).It will provide students with the skills and knowledge to:
  • Specify recordkeeping requirements relating to the creation, management, and accessibility of records as evidence of social and organisational activity in a range of business contexts and
  • Develop metadata management programs in relation to contemporary and historical recordkeeping systems, including electronic recordkeeping systems and archival descriptive systems.
