13/11/2014 - Amended prerequisite requirements to make them co-requisites instead. This is to allow for offering limitations at Malaysia. Discussed with the Chief Examiner who is happy for the units to be co-requisites instead of pre-requisites.

19/6/2015 - Amended co-requisite and prerequisite requirements to cater for course architecture requirements impacting on the ability of Master of Business students to complete their information technology specialisation. Added recognition of 24 credit points of study from the first two blocks of units within the Master of Business course as a pre-requisite.

FIT5133 is one of four core units within the Master of Business Information Systems course to be offered in 2014 by Faculty of IT. This unit exposes students to IT trends into the context of Enterprise Architecture, reinventing Enterprise Architecture to support continuous business transformation. It focuses on the challenges of large organisations, while placing such organisations into the broader business ecosystem that includes small- and medium-size organisations.

On the completion of this unit, students should be able to:

Covers the core knowledge and skill-competencies for pursuing research or employment in enterprise architecture. Enterprise architecture management is a specialised business and technology integration field for analysing and designing the digital service capabilities of organisations. The unit addresses how organisations organise and use their documentation of their resources that provide capabilities for enabling digital servicing in current and future technology platforms.
