The intensive use of the Internet for commercial applications is evident as hundreds of new commercial web sites are created everyday. The internet has increasingly taken roles as the enabling technology and the driver for many businesses: both in Business to Business and in Business to Customer applications. In response to the advancement of technology, the School of Business Systems intends to offer up to date subjects to equip its graduates with required skills and knowledge to succeed in the EBusiness era, in particular the B2C aspect of Internet Commerce.This subject will introduce students from both IT and non IT background to the hardware and software systems for conducting online businesses. The subject coverage enables graduates to equip themselves with business and technology concepts in B2C Internet Commerce and prepare graduates with appropriate EBusiness strategy and modelling, as well as basic implementation skills for Internet Commerce practice.

Reasons for Change (09 Feb 2007, 3:27pm)

Amend tutorial lab times to 2 hours.

Amendment to prohibitions (add BUS9002, CPE5008).This unit has been renamed from Business Systems for B2C Internet Commerce to B2C Internet Commerce. A prerequisite of BUS9520 Business Systems A has also been added.
